Objectives

Conference participants are to:

1. obtain knowledge in relation to Teaching Games for Understanding (TGfU) (Bunker & Thorpe’s Model, 1994) concepts and teaching approach philosophy ;
2. diversify the approaches that could be used for learning and teaching in various school subjects in the main and non main stream schools other than pre-service teacher education;
3. improve the knowledge in relation to elements that cut across curriculum in Primary School Standard Curriculum [Kurikulum Standard Sekolah Rendah (KSSR)];
4. obtain current knowledge, idea and skills ini improving the quality of learning and teaching in the main and non main stream schools; and
5. improve further the quality of managing and administrating physical education, co-curriculum activities and other subjects in the main and non main stream schools.
